Hello, we are Allambi Care.
We started in 1981, when a group of locals noticed a number of kids in the Hunter region of NSW were at crisis point and decided to open a kids refuge. From day one we have not followed the traditional path, but have pioneered new ways of caring for children.
We have been in Victoria for over two years. Although we are the new kid on the block we bring new ideas on how to do things.
We view the role of a Youth Worker as the start of a career not just a casual job. This means training, support and ongoing career development are all part of the role. You’ll have stability in the shifts you work, giving you the ability to make a real connection with a child and make a real difference to their life.
While the work is rewarding, we also understand the role of a Youth Worker is challenging, so our 5 day paid induction focuses on trauma training to ensure you are well prepared. Your role as part of a professional team means you will be collaborating with a case Support Worker as well as having access to 24/7 phone support.
